Key Relationship Manager (Mortgages)

We are looking for two people to join our Key Relationship team - you'll have mortgage experience and will be looking for a varied role in which you can build your knowledge of mortgage products and the other services our member advisers can draw upon to ensure they are working compliantly, efficiently and sustainably.
You'll be service driven - able to trouble-shoot, identify opportunities to add value and deliver an exceptional service to our members.
This is a field based role where you will be expected to visit your dedicated panel of members regularly to build valuable and trusted relationships.
Regions:
1. To cover the South East of England - the ideal home base will be in and around the greater Chelmsford area
2. To cover the South West of England - the ideal home location would be the Bristol or Swindon areas.

Role overview
While centred around our mortgage club proposition, this role offers a varied and interesting workload. Your conversations with members will not only cover our mortgage related offerings but will include being able to identify opportunities for our general insurance, technology and Later Life solutions.
What you'll be doing
- Drive business performance by positively influencing business levels through proactive engagement and strategic support.
- Complete assigned project work within agreed timescales, ensuring quality and alignment with business objectives.
- Effectively manage partner and member expectations.
- Proactively identify opportunities within lender and partner propositions that deliver added value to our members.
- Conduct business reviews to identify new beneficial income streams, operational efficiencies, and growth opportunities with member firms.
- Lead proactive call-out days to strengthen member relationships and deliver meaningful value.
- Manage onsite setup for mortgage events and masterclasses, acting as host, presenting and delivering with precision.
- Partner with internal teams to identify new business opportunities, improve member retention, and enhance overall member experience.
- Support initiatives to increase membership levels across the Mortgage Club, GI proposition, Later Life lending and technology solutions.
- Confidently troubleshoot challenges or complaints, escalating for support when necessary to ensure swift resolution

What you'll need to succeed
- Strong working knowledge of the UK Mortgage marketplace and ideally of General Insurance, with a clear understanding of industry dynamics and trends.
- Ideally, CeMAP qualified or equivalent, demonstrating a solid foundation in mortgage advice and regulation.
- Proven experience within the intermediary sector, with a track record of supporting and influencing Directly Authorised firms.
- Skilled in motivating and engaging intermediaries to drive business performance and enhance proposition uptake.
- Background in intermediary development or account management within the financial services industry.
- Confident in delivering tailored training sessions and bespoke presentations to audiences of varying sizes and levels of expertise.
- Comfortable hosting Q&A sessions and panel discussions, facilitating valuable dialogue and member engagement.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and maximise productivity.
- Strong objection-handling capabilities, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
- Experience in complaint handling, ensuring swift and professional resolution.
Location
This is a field-based role where you'll normally be on the road meeting members 3 days a week. We are looking for 2 Key Relationship Managers to cover the South East of England and the South West of England.
